NHS Tower Hamlets CCG Innovation Bursary Scheme 2014-15
NHS Tower Hamlets Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is delighted to announce the results of its Innovation Bursary Scheme.
A total bursary fund of £80,000 was made available to organisations in the voluntary and community sector to fund innovative projects that support NHS Tower Hamlets CGG's key strategic goals of improving health services and health outcomes in the borough.
There were 25 applications submitted (for funding of up to £20,000 each) of which 5 have been awarded a bursary contract. Details of the successful projects can be found below.
Dr Sam Everington, Chair of NHS Tower Hamlets CCG and a local GP, said:
"The community and voluntary sectors have a rich understanding of local health needs and what works (or not) across the health landscape. These organisations often have a different perspective and understanding of local health needs and how services can be improved."
"Our bursary scheme aims to draw on the knowledge, expertise and innovation of the community and voluntary sector, so that together we can improve health outcomes for the people of Tower Hamlets."
