Patient and Public Involvement Lead
Julia is a lay member for patient and public involvement with the Tower Hamlets CCG Governing Body. She joined in July 2016 and works with the CCG Governing Body to improve the quality of public involvement.
Julia has worked for almost a decade on innovative approaches to re-design health services so people and patients are actively involved and is passionate about the difference collaboration can make.
Julia is also the manager of the Social Policy and Diversity team at the Greater London Authority (GLA). Previously, she worked as a Senior Researcher and Programme Manager of the Social Policy team at the New Economics Foundation (NEF), and before that in local government, the media and consulting. At NEF, Julia worked on public sector innovation, specialising in new ways of commissioning services that focus on outcomes and co-production. As a 2015 Clore Social Leadership Fellow, Julia was seconded to the Cabinet Office, and published a piece of research on how think tanks have impact.
