Vacancy with Tower Hamlets GP Care Group

Tower Hamlets GP Care Group is a newly formed federation of 36 practice in Tower Hamlets NHS. It serves a population of approx. 280,000 people in the vibrant East End of London. Practice in Tower Hamlets have a long history of working together collaboratively and the GP Care Group was formed in 2014. The Care Group was successful in it’s application to the Prime Ministers Challenge Fund programme in wave 2 bringing in additional investment into the borough to help develop primary care access and improve services 7 days a week. The GP Care Group are also partners in the Tower Hamlets Integration Provider Partnership who are one of the national vanguard sites.

The GP Care Group is looking for an experienced and high performing operations manager for the PM Challenge Fund hubs to join the organisation to co-ordinate activities across 4 primary care hubs offering GP, nursing and HCA appointments weekday evenings and at the weekend. This person will also work with the project team and the GPCG senior management team to develop services offered by the hubs.

You will be a highly visible and credible manager with excellent working relationships with the hub practices, GP Out of Hours and locum staff. You will facilitate the development of hub services in each locality working with locality stakeholders including the 3rd and voluntary sector. With a passion for innovation and creativity, you will lead on sharing the learning between the 4 hubs, ensuring high quality data on hub services is available to locality practices and facilitating local debate on the development of the service to meet local need.

You will possess the ability to quickly build strong relationships with local practices, network management teams, GP Out of Hours and others. You will be a good practical problem solver capable of thinking on your feet and using your previous operations experience to co-ordinate these local services in collaboration with the practice managers of the hub practices.
